Holding elections often might be the only way to make our leaders accountable, if it was possible to organize elections cost free, this should be the way forward because Nigerian leaders enjoy so much power that they virtually become unquestionable once they get into office.
Once its a few months to election, they spring to action, organize publicity stunts they've been grooming during their time in office and lining citizens up to give them handouts.
Some go as far as eating roasted corn standing out of the sunroof of their SUV, others eat roasted plantain to show solidarity with the common man. Some call themselves Omoluabi
(Gentle man/Noble man).
Nigerians (People that vote) need to be educated on these cunning tricks.
