Her family announced she passed on a few hours ago. Dora Akunyili was given an opportunity to make a difference in her chosen field and she took it and performed excellently, even as attempt were made to take her life. As a Nigerian, she was also affected by the lawlessness ravaging the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry before her appointment. She motivated us all with her performance as NAFDAC Director general and whistle blower of the Jonathan/Yar'Adua succession quagmire. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
