Apparently, there is no sentiment in achieving Oscar glory. On one hand, I wanted Leo to win best Actor because I feel he is due for it (Dey guy don Hustle tire) and on the other hand, the Nigerian in me wanted Chiwetel to get it. Honestly, as an ordinary consumer movie (movie watcher) I did not give McConaughey a chance, never saw him coming based on the fact that actors like Christian Bale, entertainers like Curtis Jackson etc have lost serious wait in other to act various characters in the past.
All that sentimental stuff don't matter to the people that vote. I now feel there is a message behind every winner announced, be it political or social and giving the fact that all nominees did outstandingly well. Picking a winner boils down to shaping thoughts and perceptions.
