A word for those that call me a tribalist, Femi Fani Kayode reacts to the media attack that followed his response to the absurd reaction, tribalization and politicization of the relocation of rehabilitated destitutes back to Anambra state by the Lagos State government. Stating reasons why its ridiculous to brand him a tribalist, Fani Kayode challenged anyone that disputes his comments to have an intellectual debate with him.
The relocation of rehabilitated destitutes led to funny reactions by the governor of Anambra State, some public figures of Igbo origin and many ordinary Igbos on the streets, branding it a "deportation" exercise aimed at Igbos. Apart from the unwarranted attack on the person of the Governor of Lagos State, the internet and streets were filled with boastful comments declaring Lagos a no man's land, So anything goes and claiming to contribute quadrillions of Naira to the State's GDP. Here is the part i find most interesting about Fani Kayode's essay.
The reaction to the relocation of destitutes and the attack on Fashola is disrespectful and hurtful. Everyone should be made to understand his father's name and know his position.

Meanwhile when anyone reads a rejoinder that addresses the issues that I raised in my essays and that has some level of scholarship and intellectual content they should please let me know and I may well dignify it with a response. The shameless and emotional thrash and disjointed verbiage that have been described as rejoinders so far are just not up to scratch. They are bereft of any scholarship and intellectual content. They also invoke pity in me for the the faceless plebians that wrote them and those they claim to represent. When the Igbo, or anyone else, find a real writer that can cross swords with me and give me a good run for my money someone should please let me know. I am itching for a real debate with a worthy adversary on this issue.Femi Fani Kayode and other older Yorubas seem to have a comprehensive understanding of the Igbo psyche. Everyone has been asking where the Igbos were when Abia state fired without severance pay or pension, fellow Igbos who are non- Abia indigenes from its public service. That was outright wickedness but we did not get this kind of over the board reaction from the Igbos. The federal capital Territory also rehabilitated and relocated destitutes in its jurisdiction and no one raised an eyelid. Destitutes were relocated back to Osun State, Northern States and even destitutes who are from Lagos State have been relocated back to Lagos before the Anambrans were relocated, yet no one screamed genocide when all this happened.
Like the great Achilles I feel that I have no match. Are there no Hector’s out there? Sadly it appears that my accusers, traducers, opposers and haters cannot find one. All they have is their hate, their ignorance, their insults and their inbred crudity and vulgarity.
