Another Nigerian Sentenced to Death for Drug Trafficking in Malaysia

For Ugonna Phillip Nwankwo, the argument that medicinal cannabis is legal in some western countries makes no sense. The fact is stated boldly and clearly that trafficking in drugs is punishable by a mandatory death sentence in Malaysia.

Malaysia Defines trafficking by quantity, prosecutors don't have to try hard to prove to the judge that an accused is guilty, law enforcements don't need to catch you selling or buying. all they need to do is find at least 15 grams (1/2 ounce) of heroin, 200 grams (7 ounces) of marijuana, 40 grams (1.4 ounces) of cocaine or 50 grams (1.76 ounces) of methamphetamine in your possession or in a place that can be directly or indirectly linked to you. Then, you are a gone, it is presumed by law that you are a drug trafficker. That is the law.

Look at this guy Ugonna, a 29 year old man. What pushed him into this? Greed? Circumstance? But lets be honest with our selves, there is no excuse for this and its always obvious when drug traffickers get caught that its never worth it. I pray God grants every Nigerian youth the wisdom to make right and wise decisions when in difficult and hard situations.
