Iranian Arms Dealer Sentenced

Azim Aghajani the Iranian arrested in 2010 for importing dangerous arms into Nigeria has been sentenced alongside his Nigeria accomplice, Usman Abbas Jega in Lagos. Azim Aghajani was handed a 5 year sentence.

Azim and his Accomplice tried to clear 13 containers fully loaded with various types of arms and ammunitions before they were discovered at the Lagos port. Azim an alleged member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard ran like a Mitch into the Iranian Embassy to avoid arrest and if I recall correctly, there was another Iranian involved who claimed diplomatic immunity and fled Nigeria with the contingent that followed an Iranian Foreign Minister who was on a visit to Nigeria at that time. Coincidence? MFs
